Solicitation #: HHS0009505
“The Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC), for and on behalf of the Department of State Health Services (DSHS), releases this Request for Information (RFI), and encourages qualified vendors to share their ideas and information regarding electronic health record (EHR) application solutions. For the purpose of this RFI, DSHS defines an EHR application as a system that houses electronic versions of patient medical histories, is maintained by designated providers over time, and may include all of the key administrative clinical data relevant to the persons’ care under a particular set of providers, including demographics, progress notes, problems, medications, vital signs, past medical history, immunizations, laboratory data and radiology reports.
Specifically, DSHS is seeking vendor insight into the lessons learned from EHR implementations in the public health setting including the advantages and disadvantages to implemented strategies and the process used to decide on the implemented approach. In addition, HHSC is seeking information from the vendor community on the emerging trends and technologies, including conceptual and theoretical solutions.”
