Solicitation #: 5K02200826/002/CGC
“The requirement is for a Business Analyst to conduct a Needs Assessment of the Canadian Grain Commission (CGC) Grain Research Laboratory (GRL) division and the Industry Services (IS) division, which will enable the CGC to purchase the best Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) suitable for multiple working environments within the Department.”
“As indicated within the CGC’s 2020-21 Departmental Plan, modernizing the CGC to support the continued competitiveness of Canadian grains in both domestic and international markets is a key focus area going forward, and includes the following initiatives: developing a suite of e-services to provide seamless digital service delivery to its clients; building on its science-based approach and developing a strategic vision for grain research; making strategic investments in Canadian Grain Commission facilities, infrastructure and technology to support innovative programs and services; and modernizing the grain grading system to strengthen the quality and dependability of Canadian grain.
As part of this modernization and as an output from a Needs Assessment, the CGC is looking to be in position to make a decision on and go out to a competitive market to acquire a comprehensive LIMS.”
