Sources Sought: Laboratory Information Management (LIM) Software

June 14 @ 3:00 pm MDT

Solicitation #: 140R8119Q0359

"The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) in Denver, Colorado and the Acquisition and Assistance Operations Branch (AAOB) are performing market research to determine if there is a sufficient number of qualified Small Businesses, (i.e., small, small disadvantaged, woman-owned, Hub Zone, serviced-disabled veteran-owned small business) to set aside a Firm Fixed Price Contract."

"Reclamation has a requirement for Lab Information Management (LIM) Software in accordance with the following specifications.

Reclamation’s Concrete, Geotechnical and Structural Laboratory (CGSL) performs construction materials testing. Some projects have hundreds of specimens, making organization and tracking extremely difficult. A laboratory information management (LIM) software system and platform support is necessary for the CGSL to keep up with modern testing and reporting needs and to help better schedule and organize work.

The CGSL is in need of a platform, designed specifically for a construction materials and geotechnical testing laboratory, to provide a system to manage projects and collect, organize, calculate and report materials testing data for concrete, grout, aggregate, soils, rock, masonry blocks and mortar, steel and other testing samples. The CGSL also needs, integrated into the LIM software, the capability of tracking personnel certifications, provide a readily accessible database of equipment documentation for tracking laboratory equipment/maintenance/ calibration dates; and the capability of producing reports that meet the CGSL needs for all of the above."
