“The COVID-19 global pandemic sparked a need for a novel approach to answer pressing questions about the virus. The National COVID Cohort Collaborative (N3C) is an initiative that was created to harmonize electronic health data across US hospital systems on coronavirus patients. This synergistic effort between the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) and the National Center for Data to Health (CD2H) is partnered with distributed clinical data networks (PCORnet, OHDSI, ACT, TriNetX) and the Clinical Translational Science Awards (CTSA) Program hubs.
The N3C Data Enclave is an analytics platform for COVID-19 research that houses, 1 billion rows of data, 400+ researchers, and 1+ million patients.
This unique resource can be used to answer critical questions, create pilot data for grants, provide an opportunity for team science research and access to clinical, informatics, and analytic experts. The doors are open for research!”
