Thank you very much Hossam Farouk Ali. Working on bringing some lights on key points when selecting such important and expensive informatics tools that should quickly support the laboratory processes and not become an eternal pain with data integrity breaches. due to poor integration along the data live cycle.

I wonder if there is any LIMS that would satisfy any perspective of a lab that work with quite different matrixes such as water, paper, wool, pesticides...cannot imagine

Dear Patricia, there are indeed informatics systems available in the market for managing your multiple laboratory processes. Anyhow, I will never stop advocating for putting down first clear definitions of your processes before initiating any search. I´ll be happy to discuss this further with you...

Patricia Zeballos, yes there are a number of LIMS that can deal with that. Look for a product that is used in many different types of industries. There are a number of highly configurable LIMS applications that can handle many different types of testing. A few to consider are: LabLynx (my company), Labware, Starlims, Thermo, Autoscribe and more. You can get detail information and pricing on these systems at: https://www.limsforum.com/wiki_book/the-complete-guide-to-lims-laboratory-informatics-summer-2017-edition/

A new edition will be coming out later in the year but this edition is a good starting point.
