Dear Mahir:

Sorry to say, but you have left out many documents required by the new standard.

Not only have you skipped some clearly specified in the standard, but also you seem to ignore that in:

8 Management system requirements
8.1 Options
8.1.1 General
The laboratory shall establish, DOCUMENT, implement and maintain a management system that is capable of supporting and demonstrating the consistent achievement of the requirements...

and in:

8.2 Management system documentation (Option A)
8.2.1 Laboratory management shall establish, DOCUMENT, and maintain policies and objectives for the fulfilment of the purposes of this document...

the standard is instructing us that WHATEVER is required to be DOCUMENTED, be it a procedure or a record ―many more than those you mentioned above― it has to be documented.

I can ASSURE you ISO/IEC 17025 IS NOT ISO 9001, where with just a bunch of documents you can get by.

Best regards,
Alexis Oramas

The standard does request certain documented procedures, like ISO 9001:2008. Why would you document some and not all? If you do not document all procedures, how will ensure consistency of application in all of your processes. There is no 'shortcut' to quality!

We have removed or reduced several management procedures, as our company is also registered to ISO 9001:2015. However, we were careful to meet the requirements in clause 8. This involved a decision to modify the ISO 9001 procedures or to leave a short procedure in the ISO 17025 SOPs.
