Fortunately, despite the headline, the article focused more on general handling of 'PHI-like' information eg. ""For example, information in hospital personnel files about a nurse's sick leave is not protected health information under this rule." Several helpful examples and also reference to non-HIPAA laws like ADA and FMLA.
