English: Spectral outputs of various gases when operated in flashtubes with a 150 millimeter arc length and a four millimeter bore, with a current density of 2400 amps per centimeter squared. The input energy was 65 joules with a flash duration of 300 microseconds. Measurements were taken every 100 angstroms, and the dots were connected rather than drawn as individual spikes, because spikes may possibly imply individual spectral lines when they may be part of a single, broader line.[1] |
