Hey, I'm going to be reviewing this article. Expect comments by the end of the week. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 13:25, 13 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox and lead

  • Per the template, genres need sources.
  • The "list_episodes" parameter is unnecessary per infobox television.
  • Runtime also needs a source.
  • In the lead, add a serial comma after Mark St. Cyr.
  • Also add a serial comma after "ABC".
  • Done. I did my best at sources for the genres and runtime. SatDis (talk) 01:47, 17 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Premise / Cast and characters

Episodes

  • "practise" → "practice" (consistency with article)
  • "implores for the" → "implores the"
  • Remove the commas after "separating" and "romantic moment".
  • There appears to be a word missing between "prevent her overthinking".
  • "The cast discover" → "The cast discovers"
  • Per MOS:TVPLOT, plot summaries should be "no more than 200 words per episode"
Episode three is at 206 words.
Episode seven is at 208 words.
Episode ten is at 206 words.
  • Done. All episodes are now under 200 words. SatDis (talk) 01:47, 17 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Production

  • "which depicted" → "that depicted"
  • Remove the comma after "commenced in February 2020".
  • "present day" → "present-day"
  • Add a serial comma after Howard Ashman.
  • The quote in the reference after "idea for a series" doesn't seem necessary.
  • The phrase "write drafts of a script" sounds wordy, so try rewording.
  • The last sentence in the second paragraph seems out of place. Try moving it to the first.

Release

  • Fix the [better source needed] issue.
  • Add a serial comma after "ABC".
  • "labelled" → "labeled"
  • Add a comma after "January 17, 2020" per WP:DATECOMMA.
  • Per WP:TRAILER, #Marketing should not simply list when trailers were released, but reactions people had to them.
  • I have decided to remove the "Marketing" section as I don't believe it is necessary. SatDis (talk) 01:47, 17 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Reception

  • Excellent #Critical_response section! Not too many quotes, which passes WP:RECEPTION.
  • Accolades is missing a Artios Awards nomination.
  • Also, shouldn't the nominees column be after "category"?
  • Wow, thanks for the feedback! Usually my "Critical response" section isn't up to scratch. Thanks for finding the nomination, fixed. SatDis (talk) 01:47, 17 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

References

  • The Futon Critic can be archived using archive.today.
  • PopSugar is not reliable, so I would remove/replace it.
  • Mark references from Los Angeles Times with "|url-access=limited".
  • Thanks for the tips. Fixed. SatDis (talk) 01:47, 17 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Season split

I feel there is enough information to warrant individual season articles. I started a Draft:High School Musical: The Musical: The Series (season 1) draft. Any thoughts? SecondLooneyaccount (talk)

  • @SecondLooneyaccount: I do believe that the article could be split at some point in the future - but I would opt for a "List of episodes" page instead of individual season articles. I don't think there is enough to warrant an individual page for each season. SatDis (talk) 00:30, 27 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • If there are no objections, I will split the episodes into their own episode list. Then, if editors decide to take on individual season pages in the future, they will be able to make that decision at a later date. SatDis (talk) 22:22, 29 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • This article is currently under a peer review. After the episode list has been reviewed, I will split the article. SatDis (talk) 01:33, 30 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Mark St Cyr redirect

any link for Mark St Cyr redirects to this page. I've never done any editing for Wikipedia, but I figured I should point this out in case anyone wants to fix it 129.100.255.25 (talk) 14:52, 2 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed. — Sam | he/him (talk) 15:33, 2 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I just clicked on Mark St Cyr from a link on the page “The Menu” (movie) and it brought me to this High School Musical page. Is there not a stand-alone page for Mark St Cyr, or should the link just be removed instead of redirected? Please let me know if you need more info, I forgot to cut and paste the URL for The Menu. Thanks! Sheridan71 (talk) 16:02, 16 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I have removed the redirect but as the actor doesn't have his own page yet, I am not sure what can be put in its place. SatDis (talk) 18:47, 16 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

trifecta?

Has there been any discussion of this show as being a derivative of a derivative...? (or something like that) Piledhigheranddeeper (talk) 14:32, 1 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

reception

I've seen a lot of talk about the characters Ricky and Gina's relationship, "Rina" and the portrayal of this relationship by Joshua Bassett and Sofia Wylie. I think this could be added to the reception section? wear your seatbelts, everybody. Willdoubleyou 02:03, 13 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
