The article Agony of a Dying MMO has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Author deletion - article is non-notable based on lack of reliable secondary sources.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:01, 4 January 2024 (UTC)

I have uploaded the next draft of the 177 article. I added information directly from the game's manual, as well as a few other Japanese sources as per your suggestion. Let me know if you think it is ready for publishing.

Buckshot Roulette
Hi!
You've left a comment on my draft of Buckshot Roulette stating that a 3rd secondary source with significant coverage is needed (alongside Polygon and Rock, Paper, Shotgun) for notability. I was wondering why the mxdwn Games (reference 1), BNN Breaking (ref 4), and GameTyrant (ref 5) don't qualify as such? I've also added two others (Windows Central and Playstation Universe), could you let me know if these are sufficient? Sorry for the hassle, this is my first article.
Thank you! Cloud 223 (talk) 00:17, 11 January 2024 (UTC)
- No worries, I can explain. The threshold for making an article is determined by notability. Notability is defined by the general notability guidelines, which generally requires significant coverage from reliable secondary sources independent of the subject. There's no formal standard, but it's generally accepted that WP:THREE reliable sources of significant coverage establishes notability. For articles about video games, there are an accepted list of sources in WP:VG/S that can help define what is reliable. Things outside of this list are not necessarily reliable or unreliable but merit greater caution. It's common practice for pages on video games to demonstrate notability through reviews, as these sources will have independent views on the game and go beyond simply restating the information provided by the developer.
- On notability at the current point, I think the Windows Central article provides additional assessment of the game that gets it across the line. If you were looking for where to take this article next, check out the WP:MOS and video games articles listed as good articles. The first thing that stands out is that the article lacks information about the content of reviews, so the 'reception' section isn't quite doing what it should be. The it's gritty and industrial visuals are in contrast with the latter's mythical tone is not quite WP:NPOV and I'd probably move that to what the source actually said about it. But otherwise great work so far.
- If this is your first article, congrats! If it's resubmitted to AfC I'll pass it through now. If it's not I'll wait until you do it. VRXCES (talk) 00:32, 11 January 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you!
- I tried rephrasing the sentence about the visuals for a more neutral POV, and I included that multiple sources praised the item system in the game in the reception section, alongside the ratings and spread of the game. Should I resubmit now or does it need more work? Cloud 223 (talk) 01:02, 11 January 2024 (UTC)

Article names
@Vrxces: Hey! I'm planning on making an article on all Lego Ninjago games, probably like one or two paragraph each game, ranging from 2011 to 2020. It will be excluding all web games, only mobile/pc/console games. Now, I need help to decide what the title of the article would be, and whether you think the idea is notable. If yes, could you give me a link to a similar article? MKsLifeInANutshell (talk) 05:19, 17 January 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for reaching out! I think a Lego Ninjago (video game series) article would be the appropriate title. Given there's a Lego Ninjago article with a video game subsection already, the notability of the article really depends on two things: (1) whether there's significant coverage of the series as a whole (i.e. not just about the individual works); and (2) whether there's so many games or details about the series that covering it under the Lego Ninjago page would be inappropriate. It is a bit unusual because there's three levels of categorisation: it's a video game series based on a broader series of a product. I'm sure the individual games are notable though and you should definitely go ahead and make them! Let me know if you need help finding sources for the Ninjago games. VRXCES (talk) 06:21, 17 January 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for responding! I have already started on the article, and I plan on finishing it in a few days. Also, I have noticed not many articles on Wikipedia are being reviewed lately. I published two articles probably less than two weeks ago. One is on a 3D digital replica of Singapore and the on a voice actress who voices a character in the Ninjago TV Series and neither of them have been reviewed along with more than a thousand articles. What are your thoughts on the situation and do you have an idea why this is happening? MKsLifeInANutshell (talk) 13:13, 18 January 2024 (UTC)
- If you're submitting an article through AFC, someone has to review it and approve it. Unfortunately the Video Games WikiProject is probably one of the more active and vibrant ones out there. For instance, I browse AFC candidates that are just about video games. So I'd guess there just aren't that many people in that topic area, which seems to be the case for WikiProject Toys. For instance, a toy I wrote an article for, Cube World, still doesn't have an article class!
- A workaround may be to just directly create the article. I'd caution this unless you're really confident about the notability of the articles you're writing, but it is one way of getting it out there and dealing with the admin later. VRXCES (talk) 20:05, 18 January 2024 (UTC)
- I had heard about something like this, When I created the article Dollar Dash, on my talk page, the message also said that I could just create an article, and not have to submit it to AfC. Could you tell me how to do that? MKsLifeInANutshell (talk) 04:07, 19 January 2024 (UTC)
- Sure! Check out WP:HTCAP. Again, I'd only go straight to this if you're very confident of the subject matter's notability. I had a lot of retroactive deletions from pages I made all at once because I was pumping out obscure indie game articles a year or so ago and nobody noticed until much later. Probably explains why I'm a bit overly cautious! VRXCES (talk) 04:47, 19 January 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for replying so fast, I tried it on the 3D digital replica of Singapore, and it seems to look pretty good on my side, its called Virtual Singapore. I'll try doing the other one later. MKsLifeInANutshell (talk) 05:54, 19 January 2024 (UTC)

The article Stef Pinto has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Creator PROD on the basis of notability concerns; not inherited by the individual games. My attitudes to notability were probably a bit more relaxed a year ago.

Heading names
Hey again! I'm probably like 1/3 of the way done on the Lego Ninjago (video game series) article, but I had a question, what should other games which have Lego Ninjago in it come under? For example, Lego Dimensions has Lego Ninjago in it as one if its franchises. Same goes with Lego Brawls, Lego Legacy: Heroes Unboxed, Lego Universe, and so many more. So what would they come under? Like what would be the appropriate heading to put them under? MKsLifeInANutshell (talk) 14:48, 20 January 2024 (UTC)
- The difference with those is that they feature the appearance of Ninjago in Lego series games, whereas the focus of the article is on the specific Ninjago series. So it probably merits a sentence in the body of text, but the lead article will already cover the appearance of Ninjago in other media, if that makes sense. VRXCES (talk) 20:45, 20 January 2024 (UTC)

Some random IP submitted my article, just want to know if you can turn that submit box gray again. Toketaatalk 13:43, 29 January 2024 (UTC)
- Hmm, it doesn't look submitted to me as I can't review it, even though I agree the IP looks like they submitted it in the log. If you are able to get the article to a standard of notability, you can click the 'resubmit' article on the template. Not to discourage you but please be aware the article had a deletion discussion previously, if a few decades ago. Anecdotally, there's also a deletion trend for individual Pokemon on the basis of notability, so it may be an uphill battle here. Happy to help. VRXCES (talk) 05:25, 31 January 2024 (UTC)
Lack of notability on draft over Game studio
Hi there, as someone who is new to Wikipedia and a new Arknights fan (yes, I play Arknights), I created this article about Hypergryph, who are the developers of the critically acclaimed game. Unfortunately, the submission was declined due to a lack of notability and when I got this notice I don't know where to start. Is there a way to fix a problem like that? The article is right here if you need it. TriFusion (talk) 21:55, 29 January 2024 (UTC)
- Hello! Sorry, that was me. Just to outline some background that you may know, notability is the yardstick for articles entering the mainspace. This is where significant coverage about the subject matter from reliable sources independent of the subject is out there. For companies, it's important to note notability isn't conferred by the products a company makes; there has to be significant coverage about the company itself to warrant inclusion. This may be easy to resolve as I don't have familiarity with non-english sources that may already do this. Basically you probably just want the article to have information on the company's background - its formation, staffing, operations and any sources that assess its history or body of work as a whole. Because Arknights is the only product of the company, this would normally make the need for an article about the developer less necessary, although I note they seem to have a lot of other things in the works. But re-reading I see now that there is a bit more to it.
- Also there are some issues with neutral point of view. You may want to substantiate claims that the game has "critical acclaim", "is one of the most popular mobile games globally because of its gameplay, storyline, music, and art design" and has a "global success and fanbase" - this isn't evidenced by the Polygon citation and the Pocket Gamer citation only states that it's a popular game. It's important to remember that statements have to be verifiable by reliable sources.
- Hope this guidance helps you improve the draft to a level that's good to go! VRXCES (talk) 05:22, 31 January 2024 (UTC)

Geno draft
I have removed some references that talk about him in Super Smash Bros. and I found used three new references which the character was the subject for two of them and they were used for Geno's strength in the reception section and is there anything else I could add in the draft to make it more likely to turn into a main space article. NatwonTSG2 (talk) 18:38, 6 February 2024 (UTC)
Help with a draft problem
Hello Vrxces, I am writing to you because I have a problem. You see last month I had created a sandbox page with the intention of creating an article for the character of Geno. I had initially created the page on January 15, but I had been looking into sources much earlier than this (at least since December if memory serves me correctly. When I did my source search, I noted that as far as I could tell, there was nobody else attempting to make an article about this character. However, it wasn't until near the end of me writing the sandbox draft that I notice that another editor was making a Geno article at the same time as me. I didn't intend for this, as I wasn't trying to get in anybody's way. And now there is the problem of there existing two different draft of Geno.
I am writing to you specifically I saw on the other editor's draft, you had rejected theirs, but mentioned you'd be open to messaging on the subject. So now I am asking if you can help resolve this problem. My draft is currently finished, but I don't want to submit it for review as I don't want it to come off as rude to the other Geno editor. My draft is available here on Draft:Geno (Super Mario RPG) (I chose the name because it lined up with Vivian's article being series specific and I saw that there was a redirect with the exact same name as the draft). Thanks, CaptainGalaxy 18:18, 7 February 2024 (UTC)
- @Captain Galaxy I have saw your draft for Geno and it looks a lot better than me because you used references that I wasn't used to and you were enabled to expand each of the sections so yeah but the only problem was that what am I supposed to do with my Geno draft which was not better than your so is there anything suggests for me to do? NatwonTSG2 (talk) 01:48, 8 February 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @Captain Galaxy and @NatwonTSG2. Thanks for reaching out. I'm not an expert on Wikipedia policy but there doesn't seem to be an obvious answer on what to do when competing drafts are created. I guess I would say that WP:OWN that nobody 'owns' the right to publish a page - it is meant to be collaborative, so I think it just comes down to what is the best outcome for the draft. I think the useful content from both articles should do a WP:MERGE, and in this case it makes sense to do this to the page with the correct name - in my opinion, Geno (Super Mario RPG) is the correct name as that character is associated with that game and not a general character often seen in the broader franchise. It also helps that this is the larger and more complete draft too. VRXCES (talk) 06:30, 8 February 2024 (UTC)
Give me your advice, O wise editor
Hello VRXCES. I've seen your wonderful work here on Wikipedia (from old games to underrated indie games). Speaking of old video games, how do you find sources for them? I want to broaden my repertoire. Thanks, TWOrantulaTM (enter the web) 02:45, 9 February 2024 (UTC)

- It depends how deeply you like to dive into sources to complete articles. My strategy is usually
- Happy to provide further detail. If you have a specific game in mind you're researching, I'm happy to help with it and provide a draft or existing article with sources. VRXCES (talk) 02:50, 9 February 2024 (UTC)

Need help (again)
Hello again, VRXCES. I'm currently improving Vector (video game), and I've discovered an interview that contains well enough information for the development section. However, per WP:VG/S, this isn't a reliable source. What do I do? Do I just leave it out and have readers miss out on important information? Thanks, TWOrantulaTM (enter the web) 16:13, 10 February 2024 (UTC)
- In short, mixing policy and my thoughts:
- Generally avoid using non-reliable sources where reliable sources are available and could provide similar information, as this is more verifiable.
- Primary non-reliable interview sources are a little less problematic as they are about views attributable to the creator of the work and are not meant to be factual.
- In contrast to gameplay or reception sections, where secondary coverage is better as it is independent of the work, primary sources are helpful as the views of the developer are usually the only content providing information on the background and making of a game.
- To reconcile these points, I think it's fair to add in when (a) other reliable sources aren't there (b) the interview is to add information to a developer-focused topic such as the background and development of the game (c) that topic isn't generally controversial and (d) the article attributes the quotes or indicates the developer is the source for any factual statements about the game.

Collab?
Hi VRXCES. Do you have any time or motivation to do a collab? I'd like to improve either one of these articles: Guildlings or Ape Out. Whaddya say? TWOrantulaTM (enter the web) 16:26, 23 February 2024 (UTC)
- Sounds great. How can I help, and what workflow would work best? VRXCES (talk) 19:44, 23 February 2024 (UTC)
- Not sure what you mean by "workflow", but...
- For Guildlings, you could try to help me out the development and reception sections.
- For Ape Out, you could help me expand the lead and reception sections.
- TWOrantulaTM (enter the web) 21:12, 23 February 2024 (UTC)
- Happy to help out with those. I'll keep you posted! VRXCES (talk) 22:55, 23 February 2024 (UTC)

Interest in GA reviews
@Vrxces: Hello there! I hope you're doing well. I have nominated Power Drive Rally as a potential GA so if you're interested then let me know :) Roberth Martinez (talk) 23:07, 29 February 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks Roberth, I am finalising a GA for Kingdoms of Amalur but may see if I can take a look this weekend. I notice that someone flooded the GANs with character articles which is probably holding things up for people, so thanks for your patience! VRXCES (talk) 23:38, 29 February 2024 (UTC)
GameZone ratings
Hey Vrxces! Hope you're doing great! I have recently been working on Draft:MotionSports Adrenaline in which I've reached a stop sign. There is a GameZone review on this game, but no overall rating. What should I do about it in the template? Should I just mention it in the section? MKsLifeInANutshell (talk) 08:07, 2 March 2024 (UTC)
- The archived version of the review shows a score of 2.0 for the game. But ordinarily yes, you would put a citation for a review without a score in the body of the text rather than the template. VRXCES (talk) 12:09, 2 March 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you so much! MKsLifeInANutshell (talk) 13:32, 2 March 2024 (UTC)
OXM Review archives
Hey! Thanks again on the GameZone rating. The article is finished. Feel free to check it out! I'm now working on another article, that being Draft:Storm (video game). Now, according to Metacritic, there are both reviews from the US and UK versions of the Official Xbox Magazine on the game. But they do not reference a specific date and time. Could you help me find the archives? You'd told me once you could help me find OXM archives when I had put up a different article for review a while ago. Thank you for the constructive criticism.
My page on the Indie Game: One Hand Clapping has received a bit of an improvement. Even though I’m sorta anxious that I didn’t get everything right. So I’ll keep on working on it until it’s complete, bye! Cappyz (talk) 07:35, 8 March 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for letting me know! It's always great to delve into editing and please don't take the rejection of AfC as criticism. I hope you are able to improve the article and happy to help or answer any questions. Everyone's here to try and improve things as best as they can. You could also ask questions at the Video Games Wikiproject too. I understand some of the policies may be odd so I'm happy to explain them too. VRXCES (talk) 07:45, 8 March 2024 (UTC)
Article improvement partnership?
Hey @Vrxces, I had recently created A.C.R.O.N.Y.M. Games, which was recently moved to draft space by S0091 which I cannot argue with as I agree I kinda rushed that article. I don't really know how to improve it as this is the first time this has happened to me. I came to you as I know you have participated in AfDs and I read one of your earlier talk page topics on a collaboration proposal, so I wanted to see whether you were open to the idea of a partnership in improving this.
Also, for my earlier message, I realized the article had already been created, so I just merged mine into it so you could say I improved it. Awaiting your reply, MKsLifeInANutshell (talk) 08:30, 8 March 2024 (UTC)
- Hey, how's it going? I'm not quite sure about notability of studios as there is a bit less guidance out there about them. Notability isn't really inherited by the games a studio creates, so at the bare minimum it may be good to see if there's sources where the studio and not the game is the subject matter of the interview; even interviews. Without background information like the formation, membership and body of work of the studio, there might be issues. But I'm definitely not an expert on this stuff! VRXCES (talk) 04:02, 10 March 2024 (UTC)
- For reference, I merged the page history to Draft:A.C.R.O.N.Y.M. Games. – Fayenatic London 14:36, 20 March 2024 (UTC)

Fictional character article notablilty
Hey @Vrxces, I've decided to scrap A.C.R.O.N.Y.M. Games and I've decided to make a page on a fictional character from the The Lego Movie franchise. Its going to be on Emmet Brickowski, the main character from The Lego Movie 1 and 2. Even though he already has a mention in the List of The Lego Movie (franchise) characters, I wish to create a page just for him. Similar to how Lloyd is the only one who has his own article from the Ninjago franchise. Do you think this idea would be notable?
I also plan to make articles for both Your Shape: Fitness Evolved 2012 and Your Shape: Fitness Evolved 2013, both being sequels to Your Shape and Your Shape: Fitness Evolved. Thoughts? MKsLifeInANutshell (talk) 08:14, 11 March 2024 (UTC)
- Hey, good to hear from you! WP:VG seems to be really fixed on character article notability recently. I'd definitely focus on seeing if you can find reception specific to the character from WP:RS as the first port of call as this seems to be the hitch that is causing issues. I'm probably better placed to judge notability for the Your Shape games - I'd see if you can find WP:THREE review sources for each game from WP:VG/S type sources. If there's not a lot of review sources out there, there's a pretty strong argument that the games should just be added as additional sections under the Fitness Evolved article. VRXCES (talk) 07:38, 13 March 2024 (UTC)
- Hey again Vrxces, thanks for the response. I have completed Draft:Your Shape: Fitness Evolved 2012 but have come to an issue. It has been put under the category of Category:AfC submissions with the same name as existing articles, plus the article name is redirected to Your Shape: Fitness Evolved. Would this cause any problems in AfC? MKsLifeInANutshell (talk) 14:40, 14 March 2024 (UTC)
- Assumed someone must have put a redirect under Your Shape: Fitness Evolved 2012 but apparently not. Shouldn't be an issue! VRXCES (talk) 06:41, 16 March 2024 (UTC)

Super Mario Bros. Deluxe
I have some old sources I've gathered here, not sure what of these are used or good though, especially since I gathered them a fair bit ago. - Cukie Gherkin (talk) 23:24, 20 March 2024 (UTC)
- Absolute legend! These will help patch in some gaps after doing an Internet Archive sweep. I love writing GBC articles and was surprised this and Link's Awakening DX were merged; these sources along with those in the developing draft should form a pretty self evident case for notability.
