This image is used to designate a featured article on Wikipedia. If it appears in the upper right corner of an article, it indicates that the article successfully passed Wikipedia:Featured article candidates. If the image appears in the left-hand column next to a foreign language, it indicates that the corresponding article in that language has passed that Wikipedia's equivalent of "featured article".
