Hi Bob, thanks for the kind words. LabLynx was not quite the first out of the chute on this but like everyone, we are driven by our clients and their needs. We developed and continue to improve this kit based upon our client's feedback. There are other LIMS companies that are doing this as well but they are providing an actual boxed analyzer to provide rapid Point of Care testing for COVID. I don't know how reliable the POC test is but the fact is that the majority of POC testing has an unacceptable error rate that is really quite enormous.

If you want to get proper testing, the sample needs to be swabbed by a trained healthcare professional and run through RP-PCR. The sampling technique is critical; please read this article: https://www.covidlims.com/pcr-and-diagnostics-covid-19-pandemic-reveals-serious-issues/

Anyway, these facts and our clients have driven the design of our SICKIT and we have designed it for PCR lab testing rather than POC. I think we will avoid getting involved with POC testing until it is better developed and has serious studies and peer review. You can get a lot of testing in place but if it is not providing reliable results it is doing more damage than good.

John,
Great job on creating this packaged product for the lab sector...
Others will try to follow your lead out of the chute but you’ve got an incredible head start.
Good luck!
