Autoscribe Informatics is providing two opportunities to have a close-up look at the new Environmental Sampling module for the Matrix Gemini LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System). A 4-minute video provides a short demonstration of this versatile module which has been designed in conjunction with a leading food safety organisation, Deibel Laboratories. For those who would like a longer and more detailed demonstration of the system, a recording of a webinar on the subject, recently presented by Autoscribe Informatics, is now available to view.
In today’s environmental and/or municipal laboratory, the LIMS is playing an ever more critical role in centralizing and making available all data. LIMS are called on to help laboratories adhere to stricter quality control, handle more one-off projects, work with more third party programs and produce more advanced reports while maintaining stringent IT protocol. In this session, talks may include discussion on APIs, data analytics, advanced reporting modules both internal and external, SaaS or PaaS agreements versus internally housed LIMS, one-off applications, internal quality control “modules”, etc.
OptraSCAN has been chosen by the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS), NIH to provide a high-speed, high-throughput, high-capacity, high-content digital slide scanner that is fully equipped with confocal and widefield fluorescence imaging modalities that are seamlessly integrated with image acquisition, image processing and quantitative image analysis software.
IBM Watson Health and Illumina, Inc. today announced a groundbreaking partnership to expand access to genome data interpretation by integrating Watson for Genomics into Illumina’s BaseSpace Sequence Hub and tumor sequencing process. The collaboration is designed to help standardize and simplify genomic data interpretation.
-- Core Informatics today announced the release of two new genomics workflow solutions for use on the Platform for Science. In order to design effective drug delivery devices one has to master the physics of liquids, solids, gases and any of their combinations. From drug formulation, drug transport all the way to drug delivery, from powders, solids to fluids and vapors, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) can be a powerful tool to tackle these challenging processes and enable design exploration for device design and process parameteroptimization. Examples of how CFD can optimize these processes range from modeling syringes and inhalers, mixing devices, particle deposition into lungs, assessing the efficacy of inhaled medications, or injections into the bloodstream or spinal fluid. In this webinar, we will discuss the role of 3D simulation for pharmaceutical and medical device design applications, specifically the digital twin concept for drug delivery devices.
