New Mobile Apps, Dashboard and Introducing Data Sources in the STARLIMS Content Library

Abbott Informatics announced today an update to the STARLIMS Content Library, which introduces a new content category, Advanced Analytics Data Sources, and new Mobile apps and Advanced Analytics dashboards.  Data Sources are pre-packaged views that simplify the underlying database structure, making it easier to create new dashboards.

NEW ADVANCED ANALYTICS DATA SOURCES

QM Sample Life Cycle Data Source: a data source listing all important sample life cycle data.

Forensic Statistics Data Source: a data source listing all events recorded in the statistics module of the Forensic System.

Today’s release also includes new Mobile apps and Advanced Analytics dashboards.

NEW MOBILE APPS

CL Sample Ordering: Skip the paperwork and order samples and tests for your patients from your tablet. The CL Sample Ordering app provides an intuitive interface, guiding you step-by-step, through the sample ordering process.

CL Kit Collection: Document trial visits on your tablet. You can easily create accessions for your trial kits, update trial subject information, record sample collection information, and even take photos as attachments.

ES Field Sampling: Now available in Spanish. Capture field testing and container collection data.

FR Crime Scene: Now usable offline, without requiring connection to STARLIMS. Record your crime scene narratives.

The STARLIMS Mobile solution enables laboratory personnel to access information or enter data on a mobile device, increasing the efficiency of workflow tasks which need to be performed while away from the computer.  The new apps are designed with a modern theme and a focus on improved user experience.

NEW ADVANCED ANALYTICS WORKBOOKS

QM Lab Supervisor Workbook: a dashboard to view what’s currently going on in the lab.

Forensic Backlog Workbook: a case burndown chart on opened and finished cases using the new Forensic Statistics module.

Launched in 2016, the STARLIMS Content Library allows customers to discover new content for STARLIMS, and enhances the value of add-on products such as Advanced Analytics and Mobile.  Today’s update introduced a new category of content, Data Sources, which demonstrates Abbott Informatics’ continued commitment to building the STARLIMS Content Library as a way for customers to further maximize the value of their STARLIMS solution.

Complementary access is available to all current Abbott Informatics customers through the Abbott Informatics Zendesk Customer Support Portal. Installing dashboards or mobile apps requires the necessary STARLIMS licenses.
