LIMSfinder.com is pleased to announce the release of LIMSpec.com, the on-line LIMS specification database. This resource is Free and open to all LIMS buyers, suppliers, consultants or anyone who needs to develop a LIMS specification.
LIMSfinder.com is proud to introduce the Free LIMSfinder toolbar. This toolbar is a useful add-on utility to your Internet Explorer Browser. It provides quick access to all of the tools and resources of LIMSfinder.com and access to Laboratory Informatics news and information from around the Internet in one convenient place.
I was reading a blog today at Lab Soft News entitled "Reference Lab with a Money-Back Guarantee". It got me to thinking how far our industry has declined or from another point of view how far our industry has advanced. I just can't decide which has happened.
Lab managers believe that their labs operate at near top efficiency within available resources; if they believed otherwise, they would change the system to make it so. However, this belief is based mostly upon intuition, informal observation, or other qualitative, and often flawed, information—obviously, every lab can’t be a top quartile performer.
Today, more and more labs are seeking to be ISO 17025 accredited. While LIMS can play a large roll in this, the LIMS will not be the single issue. There are many factors to consider. I read a pretty good article recently on the topic.
