“Sweetwater Authority (Authority) is seeking to implement a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) in the Sweetwater Authority (Authority) Water Quality Laboratory located at the Robert A. Perdue Water Treatment Plant in Spring Valley, CA.”

“The WQ Lab is currently in the process of converting laboratory quality systems, standard operating procedures, and policies & procedures to be compliant with the 2016 NELAC Institute (TNI) Standards which were adopted by ELAP in January 2021 and will become effective in January 2024.

Historically, the Authority’s WQ Lab has stored water quality data in various Excel databases. While this approach has been serviceable for many years, there is a need to standardize and improve data storage and retrieval utilizing LIMS capabilities/organization in the following
areas:

• Traceability, Data Entry and Integrity
• Generation/Automation of Regulatory Reports
• Importation of supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) Historian Data
• WQ Lab Workflow – Sample Tracking
• Monitoring Projects/Chains of Custody/Scheduling
• Aging Reports
• Commercial Laboratory Data Importation
• Data Queries, Control Charts, Quality Assurance
• Electronic Data Deliverables (EDD)
• Standardize Data Storage Format (Sequel Server)
• Customized LIMS Data Entry Forms and Water Quality Dashboards”
