15th Laboratory Informatics Summit Announced

New York, New York – The 15th Laboratory Informatics Summit will be held from November 18-20 in Boston and deliver senior IT and lab Informatics leaders from large and small-mid pharma companies to discuss best practice in driving lab efficiencies through practical solutions.

Working under the strapline of ‘driving lab efficiencies through data integration, cloud-based applications and turnkey solutions’, the Summit will combine both the strategic but equally important tactical, day-to-day case studies to overcome crucial challenges in data integration, cloud migration and management, standardization, data lake creation, interoperability and lab scalability.

To ensure that the challenges of both big and small pharma labs are met, the speaker line up comprises of practical case studies from both verticals, including sessions from Amgen, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Alkermes, Pfizer, Merck, Casma Therapeutics, Pistoia Alliance, Allotrope Foundation, H3 Biomedicine, PPD Laboratories, Caribou Biosciences, Cyclerion and Amazon Web Services.

“We want to ensure that attendees are able to takeaway practical knowledge from this event, and this is why we also are featuring for the first time, joint presentations between IT/informatics leaders and actual business units’, remarked Joshua Lim, Conference Director for the 15th Laboratory Informatics Summit. ‘The case study presented by Da Dong Li, Director, Pharmaceutical Development IT, and Kimberly Dickinson, Senior Scientist, Analytical Sciences and Technology, Global Quality at Bristol-Myers Squibb is a great example of how collaboration between both IT and business functions in the lab informatics space’, Lim added.

Attendees will also be offered the opportunity to participate in 12 different round table discussions of various topics over two days, with discussions split between big and small pharma challenges on the first day, and ‘how-to’ topics on the second day. ‘We’ve seen how participants are keen to have multi-directional and interactive discussions, as opposed to the standard Summit format of presentation,’ Lim commented. The Summit will also feature a pre-conference workshop day, allowing delegates to attend three two-hour deep dive sessions on the lab of the future, data standardization and integration and cloud-based informatics.
