“The Solid Waste Division of the Plumas County Department of Public Works will accept proposals from qualified water quality analytical laboratories, certified in the State of California, for ongoing collection of groundwater samples and analysis of those samples in conformance with requirements of the State of California Water Resource Control Board (SWRCB) as set forth in current Water Discharge Requirements (WDRs) to Plumas County for the operation of the Gopher Hill Municipal Landfill (closed) and Chester Municipal Landfills (open).

Also requiring sampling and analysis are the discharge waters of the Gopher Hill Leachate Pond, under National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Order No. R5-2016-0076-01 for leachate discharge to surface waters. A copy of the mentioned NPDES order, along with the current WDRs is available on the Plumas County Department of Public Works, Solid Waste webpage under the ‘Governing Documents’ section.”
