“Denver Water is requesting proposals on behalf of the Water Quality Laboratory for qualified laboratories to performing testing and analysis on the following matrices: Drinking water samples, raw water, process water, waters of the state, and bulk treatment plant chemicals. Testing is required because Denver Water’s lab may not have the appropriate equipment or may require additional capacity to supplement in-house testing. Depending on the matrix, the selected laboratories (“Contractors”) must adhere to The Safe Drinking Water Act and be certified by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) for analyzing drinking water samples; the Clean Water Act (CWA) for analyzing waters of the state or waters discharged to waters of the state; published National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) or American National Standards Institute (ANSI), and /or American Water Works Association (AWWA) testing standards for testing bulk chemicals used to treat drinking water. Denver Water intends to use these services routinely, intermittently and on an as-needed basis.”
