The Department of Public Safety of the State of Texas (DPS) is seeking a contractor who “will perform confirmation analysis of backlogged toxicology samples that
have been screened by immunoassay in the Department laboratory. Additionally, the Contractor will perform screening and confirmation analysis for up to 23 specific suspected drugs from backlogged toxicology samples. For the purposes of this Contract, the Department laboratory will ship evidence samples to the Contractor’s secure and dedicated laboratory. Once the evidence samples have been confirmed ‘received’ with tracking numbers assigned to the delivery, the Contractor will complete toxicology analysis on the samples within thirty (30) calendar days from the date of the Contractor’s receipt of the evidence sample. For each case submitted, the Contractor will analyze the samples, prepare a court-ready, written report, and submit the report to the Submitting Officer and the Department. The Contractor will return the evidence to the Department.”
