Fourth Generation of Pipeline Pilot Released; Innovative Data Pipelining Solution for Drug Discovery Informatics
SciTegic(R), Inc. today announced the fourth generation release of Pipeline Pilot(TM) for drug discovery informatics research. This new software version is the result of numerous architectural enhancements designed to provide superior scalability, administration, and integration. These extensions make this leading data pipelining technology even better suited to the enterprise-wide challenges present in cheminformatics, bioinformatics, and automated assay data analysis.
SciTegic continues to focus heavily on data and application integration, and many of Pipeline Pilot’s 4.0 architecture changes will make it even easier for customers to integrate externals tools and services. The new release includes a WSDL browser for simplified integration with external web services, an upgraded OBDC driver for faster database access, and new Java and Perl libraries for easier component development and integration with 3rd party tools. In addition, enhancements to the data representation in Pipeline Pilot will facilitate the creation of new applications in new areas like bioinformatics and report generation.
