University of Colorado Hospital Selects ibex Healthdata Systems to Implement ibex PulseCheck Emergency Department Information System at Its Two Hospital Campuses
Ranked as one of the top hospitals in the country by U.S. News & World Report, the University of Colorado Hospital has selected ibex Healthdata Systems’ ibex PulseCheck(R) Emergency Department Information System for its two hospital campuses. ibex PulseCheck will be implemented in the emergency departments at the main campus in Denver as well as the Fitzsimmons Campus located in Aurora, Colorado.

The emergency departments at both University of Colorado Hospital campuses see more than 70,000 patients per year and include a specialized burn center, a level II trauma center and a 24-hour cardiac catherization lab. The University of Colorado Hospital is the region’s leading specialty care and referral center and is an academic teaching hospital affiliated with the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. The new Fitzsimons campus in Aurora is home to the Anschultz Center for Medicine and the Rocky Mountain Lions Eye Institute. The first phase of a new hospital on the Fitzsimmons campus, the Anschultz Inpatient Pavilion, recently opened to the public.
ibex PulseCheck’s Patient Tracking and Reporting System, Nurse and Physician Documentation with the Risk Management overlay and Charge by Documentation will be implemented at the hospital’s two emergency departments. The system will interface with the organization’s McKesson ADT, lab, radiology and EKG order entry and results reporting systems, hospital and physician billing systems and the patient monitoring system.
With the addition of the two University of Colorado Hospital campuses, more than four million patients in more than 110 hospitals nationwide will be tracked and their care documented and managed by ibex PulseCheck.
