Visualize Licenses Bioinformatics Software to Beckman Coulter; New Tools to Advance Genetic Data Management and Analysis
Visualize Inc. announced it has signed a royalty bearing software development and licensing agreement with Beckman Coulter Inc. Under the terms of the agreement Visualize will provide Beckman Coulter with bioinformatics software for the analysis and management of genetic study data. Designed for research use only, the first version of this software is expected to be launched on the Beckman Coulter’s CEQ(TM) 8800 genetic analysis system product line in July 2004.

The CEQ 8800 is part of Beckman Coulter’s GenomeLab family of genetic analysis tools designed to innovate, simplify and automate genomics processes, enabling the rapid identification of new disease markers and helping researchers identify the differences between normal and diseased states. GenomeLab tools will be used in the validation of biomarkers and their association with specific disease states, as well as in the evaluation of drug efficacy.
