NI Announces Industry’s Highest-Performance PXI and VXI Rack-Mount Controllers

Test engineers can drastically reduce time to test with the high-performance CPUs available in the new National Instruments PXI and VXI rack-mount controllers.

The NI PXI-8350 and NI VXI-8350 rack-mount controllers feature a 3.0 GHz Pentium 4 processor with hyperthreading and up to 4 GB of dual-channel, double data rate (DDR) RAM. In addition, the new controllers incorporate an extensive set of peripherals including a high-speed serial-ATA hard drive, dual gigabit Ethernet and USB 2.0 in a single module to ease system integration. By combining broad software support with exceptional processing power and high-performance peripherals, the NI PXI-8350 and NI VXI-8350 rack-mount controllers are ideal for manufacturing test applications that include intensive data analysis and streaming-to-disk requirements.

The NI PXI-8350 and NI VXI-8350 rack-mount controllers are available with Windows XP installed. The controllers integrate seamlessly with a variety of software including the NI LabVIEW graphical development environment, NI LabWindows/CVI and NI TestStand test management software.
