Heartlab Announces OEM Distribution of TomTec 3D/4D Clinical Application Package

Heartlab, Inc., announced that it has signed an agreement with TomTec Imaging Systems GmbH to distribute its 3D/4D clinical application package called 4D Cardio-View as an integrated component of Heartlab’s Ascentia WorkStation. TomTec’s industry-leading software capabilities in 3D and 4D analysis, reconstruction, rendering and advanced quantification will be made available within the Ascentia WorkStation application, streamlining workflow and providing cardiologists with simplified access to advanced clinical tools.

“Combining TomTec’s high-end software to acquire, visualize and quantify cardiac structures in 3D with Heartlab’s best-of-breed image and information management technology makes our solution even more compelling,” Heartlab CEO Robert Petrocelli says. The additional TomTec technology will expand Heartlab’s WorkStation to include advanced 3D/4D image processing and real-time rendering, ensuring instant and optimal display of acquired data, and extremely easy and quick generation of 4D view.

Instead of launching a separate application from the desktop, the powerful TomTec technology will be instantly available to users within the Ascentia WorkStation application. The TomTec clinical application package enables Heartlab software to work with proprietary formats from other vendors. With the new integrated, offline solution, physicians will be able to perform analysis functions from the Ascentia WorkStation on the hospital network, allowing the more effective utilization of imaging equipment for patient examinations.
