Tripos and CambridgeSoft Announce Technology and Co-Marketing Alliance; Partnership to Benefit Drug Discovery Research by Creating Integrated Laboratory Informatics Solutions
Tripos, Inc. (Nasdaq:TRPS), a leading provider of drug discovery chemistry and informatics products and services, and CambridgeSoft Corporation, a leading provider of desktop and enterprise-class software for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, today announced that they have formed an alliance to ensure compatibility between Tripos’ Benchware(R) suite of laboratory informatics products and the latest versions of CambridgeSoft’s ChemOffice(R) application suite, including the ChemDraw(R) chemical sketching tool.
News of the partnership follows Tripos’ recent launch of Benchware, a portfolio of laboratory informatics applications designed to support chemical synthesis and testing decisions; digitally store, search and retrieve research information; and share experimental results with project team members, including computational scientists. Through the alliance, CambridgeSoft will provide Tripos with support and development licenses of its ChemOffice suite, enabling the companies to ensure interoperability of ChemOffice applications with key Benchware products.

CambridgeSoft joins the Tripos Alliance Program as a Software and Content Partner. ChemDraw will be featured by Tripos as a preferred chemical rendering tool for Benchware.
