DeltaNu Will Now Offer ACD/Labs’ UVIR Software Platform for Use with Its Raman Instruments

Advanced Chemistry Development, Inc., (ACD/Labs) and DeltaNu are pleased to announce that ACD/Labs’ UVIR software for processing, interpreting, searching, and managing Raman spectra will now be available for use with DeltaNu’s Raman instruments.

DeltaNu provides Raman spectrometers for educational institutions, industry, and OEM. The Inspector Raman™ is one of the world’s first handheld, wireless spectrometers, which is used for reaction monitoring, material identification, forensics, earth sciences, and nanotechnology. The Advantage series are low cost and high performance bench top versions which are most popular in chemistry teaching and research labs.

ACD/UVIR Processor and Managers are part of ACD/SpecManager, the overall spectroscopic processing and data management software that unifies analytical data information of all types into a single interface. Composed of three tightly integrated industry-leading modules, ACD/UVIR Manager provides the ability to manipulate and manage optical spectra in a continuous range from 1 cm-1 to 100 000-1, while taking advantage of advanced chemical drawing and reporting features. UVIR Processor provides an easy to use interface for peak fitting, baseline correction, analysis, and interpretation of Raman spectra along with structure integration and reporting tools.

Michael Boruta, Optical Spectroscopy Product Manager at ACD/Labs, states, “We are pleased to be working with DeltaNu to make our software available to their customers. We believe Raman to be a growing market and DeltaNu to be a growing company with a need for independent third party software tools to analyze, interpret, and manage data.”

Keith Carron, President of DeltaNu, states, “We are pleased to be working with ACD/Labs to provide our customers with their excellent processing and interpretation tools. The ease with which you can annotate and interpret spectra, add structures, and create reports makes their software a valuable addition to our instruments.”

About DeltaNu

As pioneers and a global leader in small footprint and handheld Raman spectrometers, DeltaNu has an insight for developing unique, low cost and high performance spectrometers for academics, industry, and OEM applications. The mission of our company is to expand and offer affordable Raman spectrometers to various niche markets. This mission begins in undergraduate chemistry labs, where our future customers are educated in Raman spectroscopy as part of their curriculum, and take this knowledge with them as they expand into academics, government or industry. Founded in 1997, and launched out of humble and rustic facilities in scenic Laramie , Wyoming , DeltaNu has been awarded with over 3.7 million in SBIR funding. One of the most recent accolades from this funding was the development of the Inspector Raman™, which is truly the world’s first handheld Raman spectrometer used in a variety of niche applications.
