CLSI Releases Infobase™ 2006 CD-ROM

Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI, formerly NCCLS) announced that it has released Infobase 2006, a user-friendly, searchable CD-ROM, which includes 165 standards and guidelines for patient-testing best practices.

For the first time, Infobase 2006 will include all proposed, as well as the traditional approved-level documents, published through 31 December 2005.  This year, CLSI is introducing a subscription service, which will allow purchasers to receive mid-year an updated Infobase CD-ROM with all documents published through 30 June 2006.

Infobase 2006 provides the following user benefits:

·         Ease of installation using Adobe® Acrobat Reader

·         Convenient linkage between multiple documents—search titles, key words and abstracts, or full document text

·         Options to view information online or print paper documents

·         Fast access mid-year to updated documents purchased through 30 June 2006 when the new subscription service is purchased
