GraphLogic Inc. Receives SBA Funding
Branford, CT: GraphLogic announced today that it has received $500,000 from a Small Business Administration backed loan. The funds will be used to promote its revolutionary new software architecture, PointDragon. The loan was funded by New Alliance Bank of New Haven, CT, which has a solid history of supporting small businesses and innovative technologies.
PointDragon is the first ever commercially available development environment that is 100% web-based. It has been touted by industry professionals as the most unique, user friendly tool available for building all aspects of complex, enterprise systems. With PointDragon, rich web interfaces, complex programming logic, and large scale schemas and databases are created seamlessly within its browser interface. PointDragon implements a novel, high level object oriented visual programming environment ideally suited for the internet. Applications can be developed collaboratively over the web – no code or software downloading is required at any point in the process.
The emerging universe of OnCabs – On Demand Codeless Application Builders – is still in its infancy, yet PointDragon has positioned itself to be the major player in this new market niche. Although other players have entered the field, such as Coghead, Bungee Labs, and Appexchange, none of those products have the robust functionality and commercial applicability inherent in PointDragon. Furthermore, no other OnCab product is capable of PointDragon’s novel user modifiable application portal.
PointDragon is the result of years of development by an experienced team led by Steven Gold, Ph.D., Founder and CEO of GraphLogic. “Unlike other beta releases, PointDragon has been proven in the most demanding field, the area of Life Sciences. For over two years we have been building LIMS and other systems using the PointDragon platform. We are pleased to make this fully capable, robust product available to developers, and soon, to novice builders as well.”
PointDragon is currently available as a free product preview to registered users at www.pointdragon.com. Three builder levels are available for use; however developers are encouraged to begin with level one while they achieve proficiency with this novel tool. A developer manual is available on the site as well. While access to the initial product preview is currently limited, GraphLogic plans to make PointDragon available to the broader public by the end of the summer.
