LabWare Announces its 2009 Customer Education Conferences
WILMINGTON, DE (February 26, 2008) – LabWare, Inc., recognized worldwide as the leader in enterprise Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and instrument interfacing software, announced today that it will hold five week-long Customer Education Conferences (formerly referred to as the LabWare User Meeting) throughout 2009. The CEC format enables LabWare customers to participate in continuing education and training on the LabWare product, and to network with their industry colleagues as well as LabWare’s product managers in order to share ideas and best practices about the use of LabWare LIMS.
2009 marks the 13 th consecutive year for the LabWare Customer Education Conferences, which are enthusiastically attended each year by more than 800 people. The conferences offer a variety of training sessions and short courses, customer presentations on novel uses of the LabWare LIMS software, and knowledge transfer sessions provided by LabWare regarding upcoming product enhancements. The meetings emphasize customer input to the enhancement and development process, and provide a productive forum for constructive feedback between LabWare and the users of its products. This year LabWare will host the conferences in: Weston, FL, USA; Bordeaux, France; Queensland, Australia; Durban, South Africa; and Manama, Bahrain.
The LabWare CEC meeting is open to all existing LabWare customers and also to LabWare’s business partners around the world. Among the meeting’s most popular segments are the “Birds of a Feather” sessions, or BOFs. These 1.5-hour sessions provide customers sharing common interests with the opportunity to gather together with their industry peers to discuss those topics that are most timely and relevant to them. In 2008 the Conferences offered 22 different BOF sessions that customers had the option to attend.
For a healthy and enjoyable mix of work and fun, LabWare plans on hosting a series of exciting evening activities for CEC attendees. These range from a private concert by the popular reggae band The Whalers at the North American CEC, to Gala Dinners at each Conference and, and participation in the culture and local attractions within the region in which the meetings are held. Attendees are invited to bring their spouse and/or family members at no additional charge and these guests are welcomed to participate in sponsored dinner events and all other non-business activities.
Online registration and the preliminary program agenda can be found on the LabWare web site.
