Finnish police has gone live with new Forensic Sapphire LIMS
A new, extended forensic LIMS for the Finnish police
The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in Finland has gone live with their new, extended Sapphire LIMS solution. This was celebrated in the Finnish Science Center Heureka in the beginning of May with the whole staff of the laboratory and invited quests. The director of the laboratory Kimmo Himberg stated proudly is his speech that the new system is eventually the world’s first forensic LIMS which is fully automated and covering all disciplines. The project manager Tapani Reinikainen from NBI said that the project has been an excellent exercise in bringing together all previously separate processes and ways of working. Software Point has delivered the solution and is currently working on a similar project at the NBI of Estonia.
