Metabolon Develops Software Method to Automate the Organization of LC/MS and GC/MS Libraries

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. (October 19, 2010)—Metabolon, Inc., leaders in global metabolomics, biomarker discovery and biochemical analysis, announces the online publication of “Organization of GC/MS and LC/MS Metabolomics Data into Chemical Libraries” in the Journal of Cheminformatics. The article describes the automated identification of individual compounds based on the biological variability in compound concentrations across multiple samples. A US patent, US7,561,975, has been issued to Metabolon on the methodology described in the paper.
