Genetic Counselor:
Advocate Children’s Hospital is seeking a fulltime board certified/board eligible genetic counselor to join our expanding team of geneticists and genetic counselors.
Position: Genetics Counselor Perinatology– Full-Time Day Shift
What you will do:
- Work as a member of a healthcare team providing genetic counseling to patients and families in General Genetics, Prenatal, Pediatric and Cancer Clinic.
- Provide genetic education, risk assessment, immediate and ongoing support and coordination for families, discussion of testing options and test coordination, interpretation of laboratory results, and communication of findings.
- Provide genetics education to medical students, residents, and the community.
Experience Required:
Master’s Degree in Genetic Counseling and ABGC Board Certified/Eligible. Licensure/Temporary Licensure required in Illinois.
