Current NeedMcKesson is currently hiring a Laboratory Equipment Specialist to support the midwest territory. Territory includes: Wyoming, Colorado, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa & Missouri. This is a remote position and candidates must live within the territory near an airport.
Position Description
The Laboratory Equipment Specialist is primarily responsible to engage with the McKesson sales force, including Account Managers, Area Sales Managers, and Regional Vice Presidents. The position is expected to identify and develop new laboratory Moderately Complex equipment business opportunities, penetrate and retain existing business, to meet/exceed annual sales, and unit goals. The LES will drive the implementation of secured business across the McKesson organization and will represent the McKesson Laboratory Solutions organization across the business promoting cross functional collaboration.
Responsible for the sale of certain products or services. Duties involve direct one-to-one communication with customer or client. Performs field promotion work and develops new accounts. Demonstrates products and/ or services and provides assistance in the best application of product or services. Answers all questions concerning products or services and refers questions along as necessary. May coordinate company product support (including technical engineering support) and services to ascertain customer's needs. May close transactions and take orders. May estimate time and sales expenses expected and submit to management. Investigates product/service warranty claims to ensure resolution within marketing policies. May analyze records of present and past sales, trends and costs, estimated and realized revenue, administrative commitments, and obligations incurred. Interprets accounts, trends, and records to management. Sells to new and present clients. Contacts prospects and explains features and merits of products or services offered, utilizing persuasive sales techniques.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
8+ years sales experience
Critical Skills
• Must to be able to travel daily within assigned region
• Ability to strategically build relationships with sales leadership, customers, and vendors
• Ability to take ownership, influence others, and drive sales process from inception to close
• Ability to train and educate a sales force
• Proven experience working in complex situations and negotiating with senior level decision makers
• High level of accountability and the go to resource for both internal and external customers

Education
4-year degree in business or related field or equivalent experience
Physical Requirements
Must have valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
