As a Senior Marketing Manager in Gaithersburg, MD you'll play a pivotal role in channeling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patients' lives.
AstraZeneca's vision in Oncology is to help patients by redefining the cancer-treatment paradigm, with the aim of bringing six new cancer medicines to patients between 2013 and 2020. A broad pipeline of next-generation medicines is focused principally on four disease areas – breast, ovarian, lung and hematological cancers. As well as other tumor types, these are being targeted through four key platforms – immunotherapy, the genetic drivers of cancer and resistance, DNA damage repair, and antibody drug conjugates, underpinned by personalized healthcare and biomarker technologies.
The Senior Marketing Manager, Lung Cancer Franchise will be responsible for the development and execution of promotional marketing materials for TAGRISSO focused on key Healthcare Professional stakeholders. This position will report directly into the Marketing Director, Lung Cancer Franchise. This position is based at our Gaithersburg, MD campus, headquarters for our US Oncology business.
Requirements:
Major Responsibilities:
• Strategic input into overarching brand strategy and accountable for non-personal promotion execution
• Lead for franchise efforts to maximize multi-channel integration opportunities using closed-loop marketing principles
• Development of robust marketing briefs for non-personal marketing assets/programs
• Execution of non-personal promotion tactics
• Promotional review and alignment for all assets
• Development of any necessary training, guidance materials, or communications required for execution
• Partner with Business Insights lead to develop deep customer insights and expertise on competitive landscape across Lung Cancer market
• Accountable for developing and executing multi-channel promotional plan based on competitive insights to deliver on the overarching brand strategy
• Evaluate performance (impact, ROI, value) of promotional programs based on findings of test markets, pilots, or models in partnership with brand Insight; assess investment viability of programs and formulate recommendations on future plans
• Quickly establish relationships with vendors and agencies, and learn the discipline of effectively providing feedback, aligned to brand strategy
• Collaborate with other functional areas to ensure promotional consistency and legal/regulatory compliance of all marketing materials
• Learn and utilize all promotional processes and tools, including budget management for individual promotions budgets
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in relevant field
• 5+ years of pharmaceutical or related experience in one or more of the following: managed markets, brand marketing, sales, pricing or market research/analytics, strategic planning
• Exhibit high capability of working collaboratively, thinking strategically, and juggling multiple priorities
Preferred Background:
• MBA in relevant field
• Experience working in agency setting (digital and/or HCP promotions)
• Experience in HCP, Managed Markets, Insights roles
• Experience in customer-facing roles
• Oncology or specialty care experience
