Inorganic Chemist

Position Overview

ATL is seeking a dynamic Inorganic Chemist to join our team of dedicated professionals focused on client service and quality. The ideal candidate will be motivated, energetic, forward thinking, and possess outstanding leadership development and/or technical skills, organizational awareness, and a commitment to excellence.

 

Major Responsibilities:

• Method development and preparation/analysis of samples such as minerals, inorganic based matrices, metals, etc.

• Operation and maintenance of key analytical equipment such as an AA and ICP-OES.

• Report, review, and interpretation of data, statistical analysis, technical report writing, and preparation of technical presentations

• Plan and execute method development studies including report authoring and aiding in proposals

• Execute equipment/method validations/verifications including protocol/report writing

• Meet all testing assignment deadlines

• Perform quality review of completed 

• Perform method validations, verifications, and technical writing assignments

• Complete DIR/OOS/CAPA documentation as needed

• Assess SOPs and methods, recommending changes as needed

• Assist in project initiatives and trainings

• Communicate with clients as needed

• Maintain laboratory cleanliness and inventory

• Support audit activities

• Perform other essential tasks, projects, and responsibilities as required

 

Requirements:

  • BS in Chemistry or related field with 3+ years of performing independent method development work within the consumer products and/or pharmaceutical industries
  • Familiarity with ICH guidelines is required.
  • Three or more years of experience working in an FDA/cGMP regulated environment is preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and technical writing skills.
  • Computer skills with MS Office Suite
  • Previous ICP & AA experience is required.
