Requirements: 

Main Duties and Responsibilities 
MedImmune, LLC is seeking a broadly-skilled, productive in vivo researcher to support multiple projects at various stages of the biologic product development pipeline. Specifically, the candidate will be part of a team that is developing in vivo expressed biologics that will prevent or treat of respiratory diseases such as COPD, asthma and respiratory tract infections. The candidate should be a well-organized and highly accomplished in vivo scientist who has hands-on experience with small animal models . The candidate will handle multiple projects while delivering high quality data in a timely manner. This position requires direct work with laboratory animals, delivery of test agents through multiple routes of administration, and detailed analysis of experimental findings. In addition, the candidate will independently perform relevant downstream protein- and/or cell-based assays. 
The position requires the ability to embrace new technologies quickly and perform in a fast-paced, matrix-structured work environment. He/she will have general knowledge of respiratory disease in animal models. 
This role may require weekend/holiday work. 
Essential Requirements 
Education: Degree in biology, cell-biology, or other related field. B.S. 2-8 years of relevant experience in industry (preferred) or academia. M.S 0-5 years of relevant experience in industry (preferred) or academia. 
This position requires: 

• Strong hands-on experience with small (such as murine or cotton rats) animal models. 
• Expertise in animal techniques including, but not limited to dosing, handling, and sample collection and preparation for functional analysis and IHC. 
•Experience performing standard laboratory procedures for protein immunological analysis and quantitation of pathogen burden such as ELISA, flow cytometry, PCR, TCID50 and plaque assays. 
•Experience working with hazardous and BSL2 infectious material. 
•Good time management and organizational skills, and the ability to work within a team are essential. Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
Preferred skills would include the following: 

•Experience with in vitro, in vivo or ex vivo imaging   
•Experience with aerosol delivery to the lung using various devices and delivery technologies
