Laboratory Information Systems Technician

As a Laboratory Information Systems Technician, you will perform the following duties:

  • Perform, collect, maintain and interpret quality control data to insure accurate patient test results.
  • Perform routine and complex testing of patient specimens.
  • Develop procedures, guides, checklists, documented resolution of trouble calls and all other documentation needed to facilitate management of assigned systems.
  • Manage the daily operation of all laboratory information systems (LIS) programs and database applications.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a medical or clinical laboratory assistant program.
  • At least 2 years experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician Specialist
  • Preferred completion of a Medical Laboratory Technician certification.
  • Certification in at least one of the following categories: A+, Security +, or Network +
  • Experience with the following equipment:
  • Composite Health Care System
  • Blood Management Blood Bank Transfusion Service
  • Computerized Pathology
  • Remote Automated Laboratory Systems-Plus
  • FileNet–Data Innovations Inc-Instrument Manager
