AACC announces its 41st Annual Oak Ridge Conference, Frontiers in Clinical Diagnostics, to be held April 16-17
Washington DC, February 3, 2009 AACC announces its 41st Annual Oak Ridge Conference, Frontiers in Clinical Diagnostics, to be held April 16-17 at the Hyatt Regency, Baltimore, MD. The conference will focus on emerging technologies that will become the next generation of clinical diagnostics: Novel Point-of-Care Devices, Next Generation DNA Sequencing, Advances in Molecular Imaging, and Microfluidics-Based Diagnostic Devices. During these two intensive days, scientists from both academia and industry will present the latest developments in diagnostic devices.
Conference delegates have rated AACC’s annual Oak Ridge Conference as the best forum to learn about the new technologies that are destined for diagnostic testing. In fact, a survey of past presenters revealed that 80% of the technologies presented at the Oak Ridge Conference were eventually commercialized.
The faculty of 13 speakers from the United States and Europe includes the Keynote Speaker Mathias Uhlen of the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden. An internationally recognized researcher and winner of the 2006 HUPO Distinguished Achievement Award, Dr. Uhlen has founded several innovative diagnostic companies. He is currently working on the Human Protein Atlas program, with the aim of systematically mapping the human proteome.
