Accelrys and Formation Systems Announce Strategic Distribution Agreement

Accelrys Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Pharmacopeia, Inc. (NASDAQ: PCOP), and Formation Systems, Inc. today announced a global distribution and co-marketing agreement. The agreement brings together Accelrys’ solutions for early-stage research and development with Formation’s product development software, enhancing efficiency in the product development process from inception through to marketing. The combined solution assists formula-based manufacturers in industries such as chemicals, cosmetics and personal care, food and beverage, and pharmaceuticals.

Accelrys is one of the leading developers of informatics and modeling software to support formulations design and high throughput experimentation in the design of novel chemicals and materials. Formation’s Optiva software is an award-winning software solution that improves the product development process, helps companies reduce time to market and ensures product consistency globally.
