ACD/Labs Announces Release of Updated Software

oronto, Canada (January 29, 2015)—ACD/Labs, a leading cheminformatics company, today announced the release of their Version 2015 software. Version 2015 builds upon the capabilities of the ACD/Spectrus and ACD/Percepta platforms. Since their market introduction in 2012, and based on the 20 years of ACD/Labs expertise in the chemistry software market, these two platforms enable organizations to extract results and decisions from data more efficiently, and share knowledge more effectively.

The ACD/Spectrus Platform makes it easier for organizations to handle unified analytical data from multiple techniques and instruments. Latest developments are focused on improving usability; providing faster, clearer access to data; greater flexibility in data interpretation; and offering new advanced capabilities for chromatographic method development. Recommendations from the 2013 IUPAC ‘Blue Book’—the first revision to be published in two decades—are addressed in the 2015 version of their nomenclature software, ACD/Name.

The ACD/Percepta Platform delivers improvements in the speed of calculation of physicochemical and ADME-Tox properties and expanded capabilities to leverage organizational knowledge.

“There has always been a ready desire to listen to customers and act on the needs of the scientific community”, says Mel Euerby (Prof. U of Strathclyde), an internationally renowned separations scientist who has collaborated with ACD/Labs on chromatography software developments for over a decade, including contributions to v2015. “It is gratifying to help create tools that will assist chromatographers and see them made available through [ACD/Labs’] commercial software in addition to being freely accessible web applications”.
