ACLA Launches New Website

The nation’s leading clinical laboratory organization, the American Clinical Laboratory Association, has revamped its website, http://www.clinical-labs.org .

“Because public policy issues are the heart of ACLA’s advocacy work, it just made sense to rebuild our website around those efforts,” said Alan Mertz, president of the ACLA.  “Now, the issue sections have quick links to all of ACLA’s latest comments to federal agencies, letters to Congress and state governments and others.”

New features of the improved website include:

  • Issues:  This section gives detailed information about each of ACLA’s legislative and regulatory policy issues.  Each issue subsection gives the association’s position, as well as provides links to material ACLA has developed in its policy work, such as statements, letters and comments on proposed regulations. • What’s New:  ACLA’s latest and upcoming activities are found right on the homepage.  This cuts down on having to “click around” to find the most recent information about the association and its related activities.  (http://www.clinical-labs.org )
  • News:  This section is updated more frequently and is more user-friendly.  It includes news items regarding ACLA, as well as the monthly newsletter, Results, and the policy-centered Beltway Buzz.  It features the latest developments affecting the lab industry. The new website also lists ACLA’s current membership, its mission statement, governance and staff.  It now provides a search function. Prospective members will find useful information about the benefits of ACLA membership and easy means of contacting the association.

“ACLA’s job is to serve its members and look out for the best interests of the lab industry,” Mr. Mertz said.  “Providing relevant information quickly and in a way that’s easy for members to find it helps us help our members and serve our industry better.” ACLA’s website may be found at http://www.clinical-labs.org .

The American Clinical Laboratory Association represents local, regional and national independent clinical laboratories throughout the United States.
