Advanced Clinical Software Introduces Electronic Data Capture Software for Clinical Trial Researchers
Advanced Clinical Software (ACS) announced that it will begin offering Study Manager EDC(TM), an electronic data capture (EDC) capability specifically designed for research professionals conducting clinical drug trials. Tightly integrated with its industry-leading Study Manager(TM) clinical trial management software, these new Web-based features give thousands of clinical researchers an affordable option for creating their own case report forms (CRFs) and capturing clinical data electronically while conducting clinical research.
Targeted initially at clinical researchers in academic medical centers, hospitals, and independent research centers, Study Manager EDC provides a powerful set of data capture tools for clinical studies. Most data capture software used by pharmaceutical companies for clinical trials is far beyond the budget of research centers; forcing researchers to spend a large amount of time creating their own data capture tools or using inefficient hardcopy-based case report forms to record clinical results.
“Now researchers can use a single, comprehensive software system to manage both research operations and electronic data capture,” said Bruce Schatzman, president of ACS. “Study Manager EDC brings professional-grade electronic data capture software to researchers who struggle with paper-based case report forms or ad hoc tools.”
Study Manager EDC complies with the U.S. government 21 CFR Part 11 regulations, which are designed to ensure that EDC software programs meet high standards for data accuracy, security, and reliability. Study Manager EDC also includes an Adverse Event tracking system and a Query Management System that lets study monitors issue queries and receive responses from investigators electronically.
Now in its 10th version, the Web-based Study Manager clinical trial management system allows researchers to closely monitor clinical trial operations and access key information such as patient tracking, scheduling information, financial data, enrollment progress, and task management in a timely and secure manner.
Based in Seattle, Washington, ACS is a privately held company.
