Agilent Technologies and Labtronics Partner to Provide Advanced Integration Solution for Cerity Enterprise Content Manager (ECM)

Agilent Technologies Inc., the world’s premier measurement company and Labtronics Inc., a world leader in providing innovative laboratory data integration and management solutions, today announced the release of LimsLinkECM, an advanced integration solution for Agilent’s Cerity ECM. The off-the-shelf integration will enable Cerity ECM customers to easily connect to any LIMS.

Cerity ECM is a true content management system that provides immediate access to any data from your company by storing all content in a single system. It provides the means to collect organize, search and review all of your data connecting the disconnected enterprise and turning data into decisions. It holds the data independent of any proprietary formats and extracts an unlimited number of key values from each individual file.

LimsLinkECM provides a validated bi-directional connection between Cerity ECM and any LIMS. This allows users to share data between their Cerity ECM system and their LIMS where previously there had been no ability for the systems to communicate. For example, when used in conjunction with the Agilent ChemLMS LIMS, LimsLinkECM can send document references to the LIMS for later one-click access. This portal functionality would allow the LIMS user to have direct access to sample relevant information in the ECM without having to search for it.

LimsLinkECM is an add-on module available for Labtronics’ world-renowned LimsLink technology platform ensuring a stable and robust solution. LimsLink is the industry standard for instrument interfacing, specifically designed to manage data flow between laboratory instruments and LIMS. The LimsLinkECM module provides full integration between instruments, LIMS and Cerity ECM.

LimsLinkECM features include:

Capture RS232 Data – Raw instrument data from any lab instrument with RS232 output can be collected, parsed, reformatted and reported to Cerity ECM, as if the data is being reported from an instrument data system.
Transfer Data from Cerity ECM to LIMS – LimsLinkECM will poll Cerity ECM for new reports and then process the report and send required data to the LIMS. The interface is designed to ensure that no report is lost during the transfer between Cerity ECM and LIMS.

“The Cerity ECM integration solution developed with Labtronics provides significant value to our customers,” said Jim Miller, Life Science and Chemical Analysis Director of Software and Informatics at Agilent Technologies Inc. “LimsLinkECM enables Cerity ECM users to ensure all pertinent data is easily shared with their LIMS.”

“Agilent and Labtronics have always enjoyed a strong partnership,” said Robert Pavlis, President of Labtronics Inc. “LimsLinkECM is just another example of how our excellent working relationship provides our mutual customers with the best solutions for their laboratory issues.”
