American company deploys Chemtech traded alarm management software
Norwegian company UReason – a Chemtech partner in technology for the South-American market for the trading, maintenance, implementation, and training of software OASYS-AM – has just executed an agreement with American Lyondell Chemical Company for the licensing of real-time dynamic alarm management tool. “OASYS-AM will be an integral part of stepping up alarm management efforts and applying dynamic alarm management principles to our facilities. We feel confident in UReason’s history in alarm management and their commitment to the future of alarm applications”, said Lothar Lang, consulting engineer, Lyondell.
South American Companies can count on a collection of OASYS-AM technologies:
-
model-based reasoning to plot the source of disruptions or to estimate the consequences of equipment flaws;
-
cause-effect analysis diagrams that provide a proactive highlight of future events and hide alarm bundles which may lead to such situations;
-
multi-layer models that show the interconnectivity of different equipment;
-
real-time state detection to outline the state of a process unit, detect mal-functioning components;
signal validation, signal screening, alarm grouping, alarm hiding, and alarm suppression rules; -
standard analysis induction rules
OASYS-AM can be deployed on top and along different SDCD, CLP, SCADA, and other systems in a single unit or in multiple units within a plant. The outlets can be made available in a standard operational environment, as well as in additional screens, to provide explanations, audits, performance rates, and reporting and documentation readiness.
