ASSET and Agilent Technologies Collaborate on Products That Span Benchtop Boundary-Scan Stations and High-Volume 3070 Test Systems
ASSET InterTech Inc. and Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE:A) today announced two new JTAG test systems to reduce costs for electronic equipment manufacturers by seamlessly moving tests developed in the design department to a high-volume manufacturing environment, eliminating the need to re-develop tests in manufacturing. These new cost-effective solutions put test re-use within reach of a greater number of manufacturers, even those with a relatively low volume of boundary-scan test.
ASSET InterTech Inc. (http://www.asset-intertech.com ) is an international leader in boundary-scan (IEEE 1149.1/JTAG) test and in-system programming (ISP), and Agilent Technologies is the leading supplier of in-circuit test (ICT) equipment (http://www.agilent.com/see/3070 ). ASSET’s ScanWorks boundary-scan test and ISP environment is currently used by leading electronics companies such as Cisco, Lucent Technologies, Agilent, BAE, Ericsson, Intel, Raytheon, Solectron, Rockwell Collins, EMC and others.
The two new solutions expand significantly the price/performance options the two companies offer with their JTAG manufacturing test re-use solutions.
“These new JTAG re-use products are the outcome of the three-year joint marketing and software licensing agreement our two companies have had,” said John Herczeg, support and incircuit marketing manager for Agilent Technologies’ Manufacturing Test Business Unit. “We’ve been able to expand on our fully integrated ScanWorks(R) for the 3070 solution and provide a full slate of solutions that meet the widely divergent needs of developers and manufacturers.”
The final configuration of the solution is determined by a number of factors, including the volume of JTAG test, the financial requirements of the user organization and the current configuration of the user’s 3070 system.
