Associate Scientist, Cell Line Development
Position Summary
Catalent is looking to recruit an Associate Scientist, Cell Line Development to join a growing team in Madison, WI.
The Associate Scientist, Cell Line Development will perform a variety of laboratory procedures to support Cell Line Development. The Associate Scientist, Cell Line Development will perform daily work assignments accurately and in a timely and safe manner.
In concert with Catalents Patient First Philosophy, this role is a paramount to ensure that by filling this position with a quality person, we will be able to keep to client timelines, thereby, delivering products of the highest quality in a timely matter. This approach will allow clients to reach clinical trials sooner so lifesaving drugs can make it to patients as quickly as possible.
The Role
•Demonstrate basic theoretical understanding of the work tasks assigned
•Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot stirred vessel bioreactors and/or protein purification and/or molecular biology cloning and sequencing techniques
•Understand and independently apply GMPs to everyday work with regard to documentation and instrument use
•Cross-train on techniques with another group
Requirements:
The Candidate
•Ph.D. in Biotechnology, or related field with no previous laboratory experience
•MS in Biotechnology, or related field with 1 year of industry laboratory experience
•Bachelors or Associates Degree in Biotechnology, or related field, with at least 3 – 5 years experience in a laboratory environment
•Aseptic technique experience
•Mammalian cell culture experience
•Familiarity with applicable regulatory authority and guidelines
