Astro-Med Introduces Powerful Mid-Range Barcode Printer
The QuickLabel Systems Product Group, a manufacturer of a broad line of digital label printers and printer consumables, today announced the release of the Pronto! 472+, a barcode label printer with high-speed processing power, Ethernet and USB connectivity, and optional WiFi wireless interface.
The company estimates that the Pronto! 472+ barcode printer processes variable data at twice the speed of most other mid-range barcode printer brands, making it effectively faster than other brands when printing labels with variable information. Advanced connectivity options allow set-up and management of label printing on wired or wireless networks and through standard web browser interfaces. The Pronto! 472+ replaces the model Pronto! 472 barcode printer.
Eric Pizzuti, QuickLabel Systems Sales Manager, stated: “With its high-speed processor and multiple connectivity options, the Pronto! 472+ has become QuickLabel’s standard-model barcode printer. The Pronto! 472+ adds depth to our Pronto! family which also includes two specialized barcode printer models for high-resolution and wide-format label printing.”

The company introduced the Pronto! printer family in 2001 as a economical line of low to mid-range barcode printers. QuickLabel Systems currently sells two other printer models in its Pronto! family: the Pronto! 474 for high-resolution monochrome labels and the Pronto! 843 for wide-format monochrome labels.
