Attikon Hospital implements sLis
Attikon Hospital, serving 700 concurrent internal patients, is one of the biggest Public hospitals in Greece. Its laboratory provides full medical services, performing over 2.5 million tests per year. Attikon Hospital executes routine medical laboratory tests for the internal patients, along with pathology/cytology services, while operates as reference laboratory by receiving specimens from all over the perfecture of Athens as well as from neighbouring municipalities and perfectures.
Prior to the installation of sLis, the hospital’s Laboratory tried a well known international LIS product which failed to meet with the hospital’s increasing requirements and so the management team went to the market and evaluated various Laboratory Information Systems before deciding on sLis.
A total of 15 analyzers and 31 workstations now operate with sLis. sLis provides an easy day to day routine completion along with automated Q.C. and special procedures for each lab dept. Instruments include biochemistry, immunology, coagulation, Elisa, Hormones, Urine, ESR and Haemoglobin analyzers sLis, exchanges data via a transparent interface with Medisys H.I.S. and ensures real time monitoring of the procedure and of the status of the Tests from the clinics, on-line transfer of the results to the patient’s Medical Folder and the on-line update of the laboratory’s statistics to the hospital’s management program.
