AVAILABLE NOW! Chrom Perfect 5.5.2 – More Features – More Hardware support – Easier To Use

New Chromatography Software Released

The latest chromatography data system from Justice Laboratory Software is a ground breaking revision of the Chrom Perfect chromatography suite of software. Available now, version 5.5.2 is the companys’ main product for use in any chromatography application.  The product is available in two versions:

1) Chrom Perfect LSi – is a low cost single instrument system ideal for small laboratories and mobile applications. It will run on a desktop or laptop computer and can be installed in minutes.

2) Chrom Perfect Spirit – is a multi user, multi instrument system which can run on a single PC, or in a networked client server environment.  Chrom Perfect Spirit can acquire data from up to 16 instruments all connected to the same PC or with a direct interface between the instrument and the Network via the new Tigre E+ interface.

The software is built on a solid foundation, thirteen years of software development has transformed the original World class Chrom Perfect® chromatography data system into the most feature rich solution available today. Data acquisition/instrument control options are available to meet the needs of current and legacy laboratory instrumentation. Chemists experience a single user-friendly interface and all data is created in a common file format. This makes training and data transfer to the rest of the enterprise surprisingly simple.

Some of the key enhancements in the version of Chrom Perfect include:-

* Easier to use – Key areas of the software and many data processing procedures are now easier to use, faster and more intuitive.

* Instrumentation interface improvement for Agilent 6890 and 6890N gas chromatographs.

* This version of Chrom Perfect officially supports the Agilent 6850 Gas Chromatographs, with full instrument and autosampler control.

* New data acquisition hardware support to allow Chrom Perfect to acquire data from any point of the network via new Tigre E+.

* Customization of the user interface –  Now users can see just the information that they want in certain areas of Chrom Perfect.

* More powerful custom reporting options, including the enhancement of data summation features.

* Improved programmers package for Chrom Perfect. To allow advanced users even more power to customize their Chromatography data acquisition and processing

Feature Three New Software Modules

New ALARM! software module offers intelligent automation for chromatography analysis

New Chromatography Information Management Software – CIMS

New Results software for advanced reporting and data management

Alarm:

You have been able to play a wav file, throw a hardware relay switch, or send an email based on the results obtained from your analysis. Add to that the ability to run a user program.

CIMS:

Check out the new Chromatography Information Management System. Functionally it’s similar to a LIMS but no database is necessary. This utility provides a way to search selected directories for Chrom Perfect files that meet user-specified criteria. What can you do with the list of files? Send to a printer, send to a text file, move, copy, delete, or create a Sequence. Use a Sequence to run any Chrom Perfect program that uses Sequences – Batch, Summary, Edit Raw File Headers, Rapid Review. CIMS will search Raw, Bound, Method, Calibration, and Sequence files.

Results:

Results allows the user to collate information from a great many chromatographic runs, and to generate reports and plots of this data. Imagine a report with components listed down and information listed across (typical peak table). Now stack 100 of these reports together. With Results you will be able to view this data from any angle. Results will put this data into a cube and allow the user to view it from any of four perspectives. Not really a utility – it’s more like a complex Format file. So understanding how to build Format files is important for understanding how to create the Results Job Files (.rjb). Check out the topic “Results File Editor” in your manual to see an excellent example and complete instructions on how to use this feature.

Improvements to Batch:

The different file types available on the Processing Tab of Methods (emf, ASCII, AIA) can now be created in Batch with a Bound file. Previously these types of files could only be created in Batch by starting with a RAW file. Often it is undesirable to completely reprocess chromatograms to obtain these files – especially when tedious and complex hand drawn baselines were Bound with the file. Now you can simply create a Method with the desired file types selected and use any one of the (!) options to create your files.
